While I do other types of commission work, I have specialized in HomePortraits painted either en plein air or from photographs. If the house is in driving distance from my home in the Washington, D.C. area, I prefer to paint the house on site. I interview the customers to determine what they particularly like about their house and its location and try to capture that in my paintings.
I have recently standardized my medium, size and price as follows: oil paintings on canvas, 11 x 14 inches in size, that can either be matted and framed or stretched and framed. The price for this size is $300. The cost of shipping would be extra. Satisfaction is guaranteed. In other words, if you don’t like the painting, you don’t buy it. I also do larger paintings, and the price is negotiated based on the size.
You may also order cards of your HomePortrait. The cards are 5 by 7 inches, blank inside, and come with an envelope. Each has a print of your HomePortrait attached to the front and my website handwritten on the back. The cards are $3.00 each. A minimum order is 12 cards.
Examples of my work are below. The first painting is the standard size. The second painting is 36 by 24 inches. The price for that painting was $700.
